The original fifth century walls of the town form part of the museum and its collection includes grand statues, sculpture and mosaics to more common objects. Its exhibits are all about daily life during Roman times and cover six themes:

  1. decoration and the home
  2. eating and drinking
  3. hygiene and body care
  4. dress
  5. leisure and games
  6. domestic traditions
